Do I really need to do body image work?

Well you made your way here so maybe this is a sign its time to face this issue. If you’re still questioning here are some questions to think about.

  • Are you always thinking that you feel fat?
  • Has your body stopped you from an experience that you wanted to have? Anything from swimming with friends, to traveling abroad, or dating?
  • Do you have a hard time looking at yourself in pictures or avoid them all together?
  • Are you constantly checking your body in the mirror? Do body parts you don’t like seem to grow as you’re looking at them?
  • Do you feel like your life would be better if you looked better?
  • Do you feel confident in what you can accomplish at work, but are terrified of what people are saying about your body?

Body image is a THING. For most of us, society, TV, movies, friends, and sometimes family have impacted the way we feel about our bodies and the way we want to look.

Not only is it nearly impossible to change your body permanently, the constant pursuit for our “perfect body” disconnects us from actually living.

If this resonates with you and you would like to start making a change in how you think, then we may be able to work together.

“You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.”

Louise Hay
