Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder

All therapist are trained to work with mood disorders. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, an estimated 31% of people will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives, 21 million adults in the last year have at at least one major depressive episode, and 4.4 million people are dealing with bipolar disorder. If you struggle with any of these you are not alone! We can work together to decrease your symptoms and work through any other co-occurring disorders.
A note on diagnosis: A diagnosis is not who you are. They are health care provider shorthand for a set of symptoms and a way for insurance companies to develop payment systems. Sometimes getting a diagnosis will help people feel less alone or crazy and if that’s you then awesome! If you feel stuck with that label, it makes no difference to me other than a starting place to get us talking. You are far more interesting and complicated than any label.
